Russell John Parrish, known as ‘Satchel,’ has talked in the recent interview with The Captain and named four historical people that he wants to eat dinner with.
In the conversation, Satchel decided to pick Jimmy Page, Jimi Hendrix, C.C. DeVille, and Thomas Jefferson, who is the third president of the United States. You can read the whole conversation below.
“You can have dinner with any dead or surviving guitar players and there can be, maybe four of you. Where would you eat and who would they be?”
“The first person that comes to mind – Jimmy Page. Like, nobody’s ever talked to him, like, he’s so mysterious, like, he does black magic, he floats in on a smoke cloud and, like, ‘Dude, he wrote ‘The Rain Song’…’ He never plays the same tuning twice in a row.
C.C. DeVille number two because I just want to see Jimmy Page and C.C. Deville sitting next to each other at a table. Can you imagine Jimmy Page talking about how ‘Kashmir’ came together and C.C. just going, ‘Dude, I fucked your drummer’s chick one time!”
“I get one more – it has to be Jimi Hendrix. Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, who by the way hung out and met at one point before Jimi partied too hard – the dead Jimi, the other one’s still alive, just nobody talks to him.
Thomas Jefferson. I would bring Thomas Jefferson. Why not? That’s why it would be so rad, trying to explain to Thomas Jefferson, like, ‘Dude, you realize Jimi Hendrix OD’d on acid?’ Like, ‘Fuck, I don’t know,’ and C.C. DeVille? Are you kidding me?”
