The daughter of Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler, Mia Tyler refused to send her son to school and showed her reaction on her Instagram account by sharing a post to draw everyone’s attention on the issue of health.
As a parent, Mia Tyler displayed her worries about sending her son to school during the pandemic. She posted on her Instagram account a screenshot of a section from an Instagram user’s words.
The reactive words Tyler shared criticized the unjust expectations from the teachers in such a risky atmosphere. It was stated that teachers are now expected to be not only the educators, but also the public health officers, classroom suppliers, counselors, and so on.
Mia Tyler also advocated the rights of teachers and reminded them that it is not good timing to re-open the schools. She said in the caption of her post:
“My Sons school is scheduled to open next week and I’ve been on the fence about it. I’m concerned about everyone’s health because we don’t actually know if children are carriers of COVID or not.
Saying our children have strong immune systems and we need to open schools is insanely wrong. I refuse to send my kid to school like he’s some experiment. This is a global pandemic that has affected millions of people.”
She continued:
“Our most fragile population should not be thrown amongst the wolves. We need to protect them the hardest. My Sons teacher Tameka Graham has gone above and beyond to help her students during this time (and every day) and should also not be thrown in amongst the wolves.
Our teachers are our children’s second parents. And they need to be paid more and respected way more than they are. So before you rush to put your kids in school, think about all involved. It’s better to be safe than sorry.
Now is not the time to fuck with our kids or our teachers. Thank you to all the teachers in the world. And thank you Ms. Meka for all that you do.”
