The Pretty Reckless‘ frontwoman Taylor Momsen posted a picture of Blondie’s Debbie Harry on Instagram to celebrate her birthday and apparently she had a huge impact on Taylor’s career.
The gorgeous frontwoman of the new wave band Blondie, Debbie Harry has been a punk icon since the very first days of the band. Debbie and her boyfriend guitarist Chris Stein founded Blondie in 1974. Later in 1979, Debbie’s recordings with the band gained worldwide success and reached #1 in both the U.S. and UK charts.
Debbie Harry, who released her memoir ‘Face It‘ last year, recently celebrated her 75th birthday. Taylor Momsen also posted several pictures of her memories with Debbie on her Instagram account to celebrate the iconic musician’s birthday.
Additionally, on the caption of her post, Taylor revealed that Debbie was actually the biggest influence on her musical career. She mentioned how much she appreciated Debbie’s contributions to the improvement of her music. Lastly, Momsen urged her fans and followers to read Debbie’s memoir ‘Face It,’ if they hadn’t had to chance to read yet.
