The Pretty Reckless’ frontwomen Taylor Momsen shared a post on her official Instagram account announcing that she will be performing for ‘A Bowie Celebration,’ which is an upcoming virtual charity event organized to celebrate David Bowie and his legacy.

‘A Bowie Celebration’ will be a virtual concert that is going to stream globally including artists such as Halestorm, frontwomen Lzzy Hale, Duran Duran, Queen + Adam Lambert frontman Adam Lambert, and iconic actor Gary Oldman on January 8, 2021.

The event will consist of 3+ hours of concert and a special celebration of one of the most influential and innovative musicians of the 20th century, David Bowie. In addition to this, a certain amount of money from every ticket sale will benefit a charity important to Bowie, ‘Save The Children,’ which is a foundation that helps children in need.

As many of you know, Taylor Momsen has huge admiration for David Bowie. Momsen once even revealed that her inspiration for The Pretty Reckless’ song ‘Mad Love’ from their third studio album named ‘Who You Selling For’ was David Bowie.

Recently, Taylor Momsen shared a post on her official Instagram page announcing that she is also a part of ‘A Bowie Celebration’ in addition to expressing her gratitude for the opportunity. Momsen also revealed that her father was the one to introduce her to David Bowie.

Here’s how Momsen announced her participation in the charity event dedicated to Bowie:

“Humbled to be a part of such a great show for such a great cause. I was born with my father blasting David Bowie into my crib. Tune in and donate if you can to Save The Children.”
