Ted Nugent, the famous guitarist and conservative political activist, has reminisced about the time he appeared on The Circle frontman Sammy Hagar‘s show, ‘Rock & Roll Road Trip With Sammy Hagar,’ and unveiled their conversation about the root of his own happiness.
During the recent interview he gave to Mitch Lafon on ‘Rock Talk With Mitch Lafon,’ the great rocker has given some remarkable details about his lifestyle and unveiled the reasons that keep him motivated to produce new songs and appear on media more.
Nugent recalled the episode he took with Sammy Hagar for his iconic show, in which he visits fellow rock legends for special jam sessions. Ted said that, during their chat with former Van Halen frontman, Hagar confessed Ted Nugent is the happiest person he’s ever met.
When he asked Nugent why he is so happy, Ted responded by pointing out his clean past, being sober for 72 years, eating healthy and organic every day, and having incredible family and friends around him.
Here’s what Ted Nugent said while recalling his conversation with Hagar:
“Sammy Hagar asked me the most important question during my ‘Rock and Roll Road Trip’ with him, and his opening question, I don’t know if you ever saw but it was hysterical.
He said, ‘Ted, I’ve known a lot of people, I’ve known you for a long time, for over 35 years. You’re the happiest person I’ve ever met. Why are you so happy?’
Because I choose my own path, clean and sober for 72 years, so that I pick up on all the energies, maximize the positives, fight against the negatives, and smile a shit eat and grin every day of my life and it drives the haters berserk.”
