Rock veteran Ted Nugent shared the video of him chatting with Sammy Hagar on his official Facebook page and claimed it was actually a deleted part of Hagar’s show when he guested Nugent months ago.
As you may know, former Van Halen frontman Sammy Hagar has been hosting his show named ‘Rock and Roll Road Trip with Sammy Hagar‘ since 2016. Hagar’s highly-anticipated show presents his travels across the country to get together with the rock legends and perform some of their iconic songs.
During the iconic show, which premiered on January 24, 2016, and lasted for 5 seasons, Hagar welcomed some of the legends of rock and metal music, including Alice Cooper, Tommy Lee, Dave Grohl, Willie Nelson, and more.
Earlier this year, Ted Nugent also appeared on one episode of Hagar’s TV show and the two rock music icons talked about various subjects including Nugent’s career and the virtues he considered as the most important in his life.
Recently on Facebook, Nugent shared the video of a deleted scene from his appearance on Sammy’s show. During the video, Hagar asked whether Ted thought he didn’t get enough credit for his spirituality.
In his response to Sammy’s question, Nugent stated that he wasn’t actually bothered by that since there were a number of people he met on social media platforms, who appreciated his spirituality and honesty.
Here’s what Sammy Hagar asked Ted Nugent in the deleted scene of his show:
“Do you ever feel that you don’t get enough credit for your spirituality and what you do for this country and all that stuff?
Do you ever feel like you get a little bit blacklisted in certain realms of life because of your outgoing you know mad man-ness and even your musicianship is – great of a musician as you are and as long as you’ve, your energy and you’re as a performer, one of the greatest performers I’ve ever seen, you influenced me to death coming up, but you ever feel, does that bother you when you don’t get credit for your spirituality?”
Here is how Ted Nugent responded:
“It doesn’t bother me as an individual, it bothers me as a human that other humans are that dishonest to not admit what they know is true about me. But with social media, I have millions and millions of wonderful, intelligent, really cocky, positive energy people that know what I do. I don’t do things to be known for doing things. I do things because they are the right thing to do.
But when I see the list of the popular guitar players in the world and I see guys on there that I’ve never heard of. I know I’m not there because I’m against dope or because I’m on the board of directors of the NRA or I’m not there because I murder Bambi.
I know what hate looks like and it doesn’t ruffle my feathers at all but I’d rather there was an honesty about all different types of social concerns whether it’s political, social, spiritual, religious. I’d like people to be honest about that guy, what he represents, not just me, but anybody who does something good.”
Here’s what Ted Nugent stated in the caption of the video:
“What better way to end the year 2020 than to talk a little honesty, shall we? As I explained to my good friend Sammy Hagar (The Red Rocker) in this deleted scene from his show Rock N Roll Road Trips, I’d like society to know that hunters of America provide millions of quality meals of venison to our fellow needy Americans.
I’d like to see the Conservations families get credit for that, but the media won’t do that because there’s so much dishonesty. We are the truth, we are the light, we are the All-American bloodbrother shitkickers!”
