Ted Nugent, the famous guitarist and conservative political activist, has spoken about substance abuse as calling the people who deal with these issues ‘comfortably numb’ and claiming that George Floyd is to blame for his own death rather than the police officer.
During his latest conversation on Rock Talk With Mitch Lafon, one of the greatest supporters of Donald Trump and the Republican Party, Ted Nugent, has talked about the stupidity of using drugs, pointing out this habit’s life-destroying impacts.
Nugent explained that somebody thought being comfortably numb might be beneficial to other people’s lives when comfortably numb is actually ‘uncomfortably dumb.’ He exemplified the case of George Floyd for his statement by claiming that Floyd killed himself in the back of the squad car since he took fentanyl beforehand.
The musician continued his controversial words while saying Floyd destroyed his family’s life and the image of his fellow blacks with his faulty mentality, thinking that he was partying as taking drugs before his tragic death.
As you all know, George Perry Floyd was killed during an arrest on May 25, 2020, after a store clerk asserted he had passed a counterfeit $20 bill in Minneapolis. A police officer named, Derek Chauvin, knelt on Floyd’s neck for 8 minutes and 46 seconds, leading to his death.
After the incident, people all around the world protested against police brutality towards black people in America and most of Europe. Also, the Black Lives Matter movement gained momentum upon the George Floyd case.
Here’s what Ted Nugent said about George Floyd during the interview:
“Let me tell you, this will piss off a lot of your viewers. You find heartbreak, you find deceit, you find failed promises and crying mothers and communities in turmoil. Somebody was high that brought it about. Somebody that was out of touch.
Somebody thought being comfortably numb might be beneficial to other people’s lives when comfortably numb is actually uncomfortably dumb.
And if you’re comfortably numb, you’re too stupid to know that you’re in the liability column and that you broke your mother’s heart, you ruined your family, and you might end up like George Floyd who killed himself in the back of the squad car.”
“He couldn’t breathe all by himself because he took fentanyl and he destroyed his family’s life, he was a thug to his community. He destroyed the image of his fellow blacks and he ruined everything he got around.
And that cop had to subdue him because George Floyd thought being comfortably numb and ingesting life-destroying fentanyl was somehow a ‘party.’ Do I need to go on?”
