The Beatles drummer and co-founding member of the band, Ringo Starr, was the latest interview of ‘The Late Show With Stephen Colbert’ last week and he was asked to name his all-time favorite songs of the band.
In this edition of ‘The Colbert Questionert,’ Colbert asked many wandered questions like ‘What’s the Scariest Animal?,’ ‘Most Used App On Your Phone?‘ as well as if he will have to choose one song to listen to for the rest of his life what will it be. In the same interview, he was asked to name his favorite Beatles song and he quickly picked ‘Come Together.’
The song was the opening track of their legendary eleventh studio album named ‘Abbey Road’ and it was co-written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney. The single reached the top ten in the charts for over twenty countries and got a Platinum certification by selling more than 600.000 copies in The United Kingdom.
Here is what Ringo said.
“There’s lots of other favourites, but if you want one, ‘Come Together’ can’t be bad. I just think it worked perfectly with the band and the song and John being John. I loved that moment.”
