The iconic co-lead vocalist and bassist of The Beatles, Paul McCartney revealed the purpose of his mysterious posts on Instagram and announced the release date of his new album, ‘McCartney III.’

As you may know, The Beatles legend Paul McCartney has been sharing some cryptic photos on his Instagram account only using the ‘dice’ emoji on the captions. The pictures Paul posted captured the beauty of nature displaying three mushrooms, a pink rose, and three purple-colored flowers.

Recently on Instagram, Paul McCartney posted some videos finally revealing the real reason for the mysterious photos he had been sharing with his fans. Posting three videos in a row, Paul announced the exciting news about his latest project, ‘McCartney III.’

A follow-up to his 1970 album ‘McCartney‘ and 1980’s ‘McCartney II,’ the new album would be released on December 11, 2020. The Beatles icon actually wrote and recorded every song in his highly-anticipated album. Paul mentioned that he was simply making music for himself during the lockdown days which turned out to be a brand new album.

Here’s what Paul McCartney stated about the recording of his album during self-quarantine days:

“Each day I’d start recording with the instrument I wrote the song on and then gradually layer it all up; it was a lot of fun. It was about making music for yourself rather than making music that has to do a job. So, I just did stuff I fancied doing. I had no idea this would end up as an album.”

In his latest Instagram posts, McCartney shared some details from the recording process of his new songs which were actually built from live takes of Paul singing over the guitar and were overdubbed later with his bass guitar and drum parts.
