The Beatles legend Paul McCartney wrote a recent tweet about his long-time friend Shelley Lazar, who died on Sunday from cancer.

Shelley Lazar was the founder and president of SLO VIP Ticket Services, and her nickname was “The Ticket Queen.” Unfortunately, she passed away at 69.

Here is what Paul McCartney wrote:

“Fond fun memories of our lovely MF Ticket Queen, Shelley x

Two weeks ago, The Beatles family suffered a tragic loss of Joe Flannery, who served the band as a booking manager from 1962 – 1963. Flannery has died in his property in Aigburth, Liverpool.

Elton John also commented about Lazar’s death on his official Instagram page and shared a heartbreaking photo of them.

Here is what Elton wrote:

“Very sad news today with the passing of Shelley Lazar. She looked after my tickets for years and worked with such greats as the Rolling Stones and Paul McCartney. Why? Because she was the very best and a legend in her field. She will be deeply missed by the legions who loved her. #RIP @lazarshelley @kevinmazur”
