On December 8, 1980, the iconic member of The Beatles, John Lennon sadly passed away at the age of 40 after he got shot four times at close range by Mark Chapman. His family and fans around the world were devastated after the tragic assassination of The Beatles star.

Recently, the official Instagram account of The Beatles posted a photo of the band members, John Lennon, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, and George Harrison, posing together at a garden.

On the caption of the post, it was shared a rarely-known interview with John Lennon revealing his real taste in music. He stated in the interview that when people wanted to know the kind of music he liked to listen, Lennon gave them an unusual answer. Apparently, John Lennon wasn’t listening to any musician or band, instead, he enjoyed listening to the sounds around him, like the sounds of traffic or nature.

“People ask me what music I listen to. I listen to traffic and birds singing and people breathing. And fire engines. I always used to listen to the water pipes at night when the lights were off, and they played tunes.”
