Led Zeppelin’s biopic movie named ‘Becoming Led Zeppelin’ is now confirmed and the details about the movie were recently revealed by director Bernard McMahon.
Following the success of many biographical movies such as Mötley Crüe’s ‘The Dirt’ and Freddie Mercury’s ‘Bohemian Rhapsody,’ other bands started to create their own biopics, such as KISS’s ‘KISStory.’
Back in May 2019, Led Zeppelin revealed that they have also been working on a biographical movie, named ‘Becoming Led Zeppelin,’ but they hadn’t revealed any details about it until now.
The movie will feature lots of interviews with many stars including Led Zeppelin members; Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, and John Paul Jones. Besides that, it will be feature unseen footage of late drummer John Bonham.
The director of the movie pointed out that they have restored many visual and audio materials that were found in the archives, which will finally enable them to tell Led Zeppelin’s story all around the world.
Bernand McMahon, director of the movie, said the following about ‘Becoming Led Zeppelin’:
“Becoming Led Zeppelin is a film that no one thought could be made. The band’s meteoric rise to stardom was swift and virtually undocumented.
Through an intense search across the globe and years of restoration of the visual and audio archive found, this story is finally able to be told.”
Even though the movie will be released sooner than expected, there is no official release date confirmed by the band. However, the trailer and the announcement are most likely to be released in 2021.
