Rock N’ Roll Legend, the father of rock ‘n’ roll, Chuck Berry has died at the age of 90-years-old. His death was confirmed by the St. Charles County Police Department in Missouri, who found Berry at his home on Saturday afternoon.

With a statement made on Facebook, Berry’s death was announced on the official account of the musician. Here’s the statement:

“We are deeply saddened to announce that Chuck Berry – beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather – passed away at his home today at the age of 90. Though his health had deteriorated recently, he spent his last days at home surrounded by the love of his family and friends. The Berry family asks that you respect their privacy during this difficult time.”

Also, a post on the St. Charles County police Facebook page said officers responded to a medical emergency at the residence around 12:40 p.m. (1:40 p.m. ET) Saturday and found an unresponsive man inside.
