Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee and Playboy model Pamela Anderson married on February 19, 1995, four days after they met and fell in love with each other deeply. The couple had two sons named Brandon and Dylan but their passionate relationship couldn’t last long.
Anderson and Lee divorced in 1998 due to serious problems with each other even including domestic violence. Anderson filed a lawsuit against Lee after he kicked her while holding their little son. Lee pleaded no contest and served in a county jail for six months due to assaulting his wife.
Tommy Lee Finds Jail Peaceful And Quite
Unlike the others, Tommy Lee loved being in jail by describing his experience as a peaceful and nice thing. According to Lee, he got rid of boring interviews and paparazzi who were chasing after him because he was an ordinary person in the prison rather than being Mötley Crüe star.
In addition, people around him thought he was too high to share his real experience after Lee recalled the time when he was in jail by giving very positive statements about it instead of telling how terrible it was. However, his opinions on being in the prison were true and sincere.
Lee talked about his life in jail saying:
“I loved prison. I thought, ‘No one can f**k with me. I’m not going to have to do interviews. I’m not going to have to answer the phone.’
Just total peace and quiet. I was, like, ‘F**k, this is nice!’ People looked at me like I was on crack.”
Consequently, it seems that county jail became a holiday for Tommy Lee who had been struggling with various problems in his personal and professional life. After he was released from jail, he left Mötley Crüe and focused on his own rap-metal band Methods of Mayhem.
