The Rolling Stones co-founder and long-time member of the band, Keith Richards, posted a new video on his official Instagram page to share his respect to late American pianist Johnnie Johnson on his birthday.
You might already know that Johnnie Cyle Johnson was considered one of the most talented jazz, blues, and rock n’ roll pianists of all time. While he involved a bunch of unforgettable albums of many stars like Buddy Guy, Al Kooper, Oliver Sain, and Eric Clapton, he was also inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame after his collaboration with Chuck Berry.
This week, The Rolling Stones legend Keith Richards posted the photos he took with Johnson and reminded the singles named ‘Hail Hail Rock ’n Roll‘ and ‘Could Have Stood Up’ which he worked with the late jazz legend.
Here is what Keith wrote in the caption:
“Remembering Johnnie Johnson on his birthday! I worked and played with him on “Hail Hail Rock’n Roll” with Chuck Berry and he then joined me on my first solo album “Talk is Cheap” on “Could Have Stood You Up.”
