The world’s most notorious band, Mötley Crüe’s members, had been through hard times because of their addiction to alcohol and heroin. They represented the rock and roll lifestyle with their excessive use of substances, antics, and active sex life until they decided to get rid of their destructive addictions and enter rehab.
Mötley Crüe members Nikki Sixx, Tommy Lee, and Vince Neil shared the details of these drug and alcohol-fueled experiences in their autobiography named ‘The Dirt: Confessions of the World’s Most Notorious Rock Band’ and their previous interviews. One of these stories is about the time they injected alcohol to see how their body would react.
Nikki Sixx and Tommy Lee Injected Whiskey To Themselves
In one of their previous interviews, Mötley Crüe members described their tour routine as waking up at noon and eating cereal with Jack Daniels if there was no milk. Their addiction to whiskey was so out of control that drinking it wasn’t enough for Tommy Lee and Nikki Sixx.
Apart from using Jack Daniels as a replacement for milk, Lee and Sixx also tried to use whiskey in a very risky way. They injected Jack Daniels into their bloodstream to strengthen its effects. Sixx stated that it made them fall asleep quickly, and it only happened once.
Sixx recalled these days saying:
“We thought it was a good idea. I went to sleep quickly. It only happened once.”
Therefore, there is no doubt that Mötley Crüe members tried every possible way to get drunk and high. However, later they realized that they had to pursue a sober life to continue their musical careers.
