Anthrax’s rhythm guitarist and co-founder Scott Ian posted a new photo of him and Queen’s legendary guitarist Brian May and shared his beautiful feelings about him.

Scott posted the really heart-melting photo of him and Brian and penned a letter about how he influenced with Queen and Brian’s music.

Here is what he said:

“I met Brian in 1986 at some event in London two days after Cliff Burton died. I was stuck in London for a day trying to get home and then to San Francisco for the funeral. I was in a terrible mood and it was meeting this kind and gentle soul that helped get me out of the state I was in and ready to move forward and face whatever came next.

He was so calm and kind and understanding and he’s also Brian May from fucking Queen and an absolute legend and hero of mine and I will never forget that night. And here we are 33 years later at the Forum in LA after Queen’s fantastic/majestic kick-ass show last night.

Brian ever the gentlemen, (our son is a huge Queen fan and Brian was the coolest to him, what a moment!) ever the ultimate ripper on guitar, just the greatest. Thank you Dr. May. Swipe left for a spine-chilling moment from the show. Just amazing. @pearlcaliforniacountry@officialqueenmusic
