Audioslave and Rage Against The Machine guitarist, Tom Morello, shared a recent photo on his verified Instagram account and celebrated Jane’s Addiction singer Perry Farrell.

As Tom Morello celebrates his long-time buddy’s 61st birthday, he also shared a little-known story of how did they rock the stage in 1998 with Rage Against The Machine.

This rare photo of Perry got 20K likes in a really short time and one of the users who pushed the like button was Rob Zombie guitarist John 5.

You can check out the caption of the photo below.

“Happy birthday Perry Farrell! From sitting in awe on the floor of Jane’s rehearsals in ‘88 to you giving RATM our big break by putting us on Lolla in ‘93, from rocking on stage with you in front of 150 or 150,000 people to cleaning out homes in the 9th Ward after Hurricane Katrina together, to having a LOT of crazy adventures around the world & peeing in a LOT of alleys, I just love ya man.”

A follower named djmenoman commented on the post:

“Orale! Feliz Cumpleaños Mr. Farrell! And thanks again to you Tom and your buddy Perry for rocking us out last year during the UTLA Teachers’ Strike Rally.”

Global head of rock at Spotify, Allison Hagendorf commented on the post:

“I LOVE this so much, Tom Morello! Happy Birthday to the amazing Perry Farrell. 💗🤘🏻🙌🏻”
