Rage Against the Machine’s founder and guitarist, Tom Morello, recently posted a photo from his childhood years on his Instagram account and revealed that he has been a KISS fan ever since he was a little kid.
Tom Morello is known to be one of the most well-known rockstars and political activists of all time and he achieved mainstream fame with his successful career as the founder and guitarist of Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave. However, Morello’s career as a rockstar began rather early.
Morello joined his first band as the lead singer at the age of 13. It was a cover band and they covered songs by Led Zeppelin, Bachman-Turner Overdrive, and Steve Miller Band. The same year, Morello bought his first guitar, and just five years later at the age of 18, he formed his own band.
Being so involved with music since he was a kid, means that he grew up as a rock-head and enjoyed listening to the rock classics of the ’60s and ’70s. With his recent Instagram post, he revealed that one of his favorite bands was KISS, as he posted a photo of himself as a kid holding a KISS vinyl.
Here’s what he said in the caption of his post:
“Memory Monday, KISS.”
