Maynard James Keenan, best known for being the lead singer and primary lyricist of Tool, revealed that he has been smoking meth and marijuana for his joint pain due to coronavirus, during a recent podcast titled Joe Rogan Experience.
As you may remember, it was Maynard James Keenan‘s second appearance on Joe Rogan Experience, the first one was nearly a year ago with topics like Keenan’s wine business, which Rogan praised dearly, social media addiction, and drugs.
During the very recent interview, Keenan talked about his experience with coronavirus which he revealed to experience back in February, its after-effects, the upcoming election of the United States of America, and drugs, again.
During the podcast, Joe Rogan brought up the fact that working out must be hard since Maynard James Keenan stated that his hands and wrists hurt due to COVID-19, Keenan revealed that he is actually smoking meth to get through the pain.
Here is what Rogan asked:
“When you train now, is your cardio diminished, and how much?”
Here is how Keenan replied:
“Yep, enough to worry. My motivation is diminished because I’m trying to do stuff and my hands hurt. Well, not anymore, not now when I’m on medication. I’m smoking meth to get through it.
It’s not fun to be on, but my wrists have cleared up, and I’m back to doing stuff. Methotrexate is for rheumatoid arthritis, basically like chemotherapy.”
Later on, Keenan revealed how long he has been smoking meth in order to feel well and he stated that after five weeks, he will continue with CBD which basically stands for cannabis, also known as marijuana.
Here is what Keenan said:
“I’m on CBD now. Methotrexate I’ve done now for about 10 weeks, and I have another 5 weeks. But I’m gonna continue the CBD after that. Just one drop a day.”
