Grammy-Awarded guitarist and also the member of Tool, Adam Jones, has posted a couple of new photos on his verified Instagram account today and joined ‘Who has the sweetest Flying V?’ challenge while showing his own.
The Gibson Flying V was made by Gibson itself back in 1958 and it’s considered as one of the most iconic electric guitars ever made. Many legendary stars like Eddie Van Halen, Tom Petty, Kirk Hammett, and James Hetfield have used the model including Jimi Hendrix with his custom-made 1969 Flying V.
In his latest post on his verified page, Tool star has accepted the challenge of Gibson’s Chief Merchant Officer Cesar Gueikian’s ‘Gibson Flying V’ challenge and showed off his goodies with his followers by tagging Metallica legend Kirk Hammett and Judas Priest guitarist Richie Faulkner.
After sharing his photos and challenging these legendary guitarists, Adam Jones’ latest post got over 30K followers including Rob Zombie guitarist John 5 and Halestorm star Joe Hottinger.
Here is what Adam Jones wrote:
“OK, Cesar Gueikan, Kirk Hammett, Richie Faulkner… Challenge excepted! Who has the sweetest Gibson Flying V?
(I know I’m gonna lose the challenge…) 😄 But I do really love this guitar! 🔥”
