In the past two months, Tool and A Perfect Circle frontman Maynard James Keenan (he is also the frontman/lead singer of Puscifier) has shared two update about new Tool album on Twitter.

Maynard’s first update was shared on January 4, 2019 via Twitter. He wrote:

“Final vocals tracked MONTHS ago. Then U.S.-UK-Euro run w #APC. If Tool all inst are tracked, long process of Mixing now.

Meanwhile write/film/track w @puscifer for #puscifer2020 & troll the band FBs with wine posts. #funnyshit #whileyouwerewhiningiwasworking”

The second update was posted a week ago as follows:

“Midway through mixing. Most likely be a few recalls. Then some arguing. Then Mastering, Artwork, Video, Special Packaging, etc.

Best Ballpark Guess- Release date somewhere between Mid May and Mid July. More focused updates to follow as we progress. @tool #simplemath”

A fan named John Kirklan has reacted to Maynard’s update, and wrote:

“Way to throw your colleagues under the bus. No solidarity. Busch league.”

With using Puscifer’s Twitter account, Maynard responded:

“If the bus fits.”
