Tool and Puscifer frontman Maynard James Keenan took his official Twitter account today, and he revealed the thing he wants for his 56th birthday while sharing a childhood photo that was taken just before he attended the United States Army.
Maynard James Keenan was born in Ravenna, Ohio in 1964. After completing prep school, he joined Kendall College of Art and Design at the age of 16. In these years, Maynard became close friends with Tom Morello, and they played together. However, he could not be the vocalist of The Rage Against The Machine despite he was one of the candidates.
Right after leaving Michigan to move to Los Angeles for good, Maynard met his future bandmate, Adam Jones. After Maynard made him listen to his demos, he was impressed by his voice and suggested him forming a band together. In the same year, Tool was founded by Adam Jones, Paul D’Amour, Justin Chancellor, and Maynard himself.
In his latest tweet on his official account, Maynard posted one of his childhood photos and stated that he does not want anything for his 56th birthday. However, she wanted his fans to watch the upcoming live stream of Puscifer.
Here is what Keenan said:
“If you weren’t already rocking this geeky pimp vibe by the age of 10, then good luck catching up. Don’t really need anything for my BDay, but if you’re asking, we’d be grateful if you’d tune in to our PPV this weekend.“
