Maynard James Keenan, mostly known as the lead singer of Tool, and currently the lead singer of Puscifer, made an interview about the new Puscifer album, and during the interview, Keenan revealed that he had COVID-19 earlier this year.

He also stated that they mostly record the songs from July to October and named it the harvest time.
Alongside the information about his and his band’s music, Maynard James Keenan revealed he had COVID-19 earlier this year when asked about what was it like to have his plans for the year upended due to coronavirus during the interview. Keenan stated that it was good to have the time to make additional adjustments and still feeling the residual effects of COVID-19.
Here is what Keenan said about coronavirus:
“Well, I’m not a delicate flower. You make the adjustment. ‘OK, well, we can’t do that. So what are we gonna do? Are we just gonna take this opportunity to unplug and kind of step back and reevaluate everything?’ It was good. I mean, I was still recovering from having gotten COVID at the end of February. I’m still dealing with the residual effects. But it was ugly. I survived it, but it wasn’t pretty. So I definitely had to deal with that.”
After this shocking reveal, since nobody knew Keenan had coronavirus, the interviewer stated that he was not aware of Keenan’s situation.
Here is how Keenan explained:
“Um… yeah. I kind of didn’t want to run around screaming it. But it’s real. And there are after-effects. I had to go through some major medications to undo the residual effects. Still coughing. There’s still lung damage.”
Maynard James Keenan stated that he does not feel completely healed and still have the cough since his lungs are still damaged at the tips. He also revealed that he recently healed from the inflammation that was going on with his wrist and hands.
