As Tool enjoying the great success of their latest album, Fear Inoculum, the band’s iconic frontman, Maynard James Keenan had a new interview in a new Beats 1 on Apple Music.
As you will read his statements below, Maynard James Keenan claimed that he has lots of stories to tell and these stories are not coming from his bandmates.
Here is what Maynard James Keenan said:
“I think with any instruction I’ve had from writers, prose, poetry, just artists in general, painters, sculptors, winemakers, a lot of it is get out of the way, but also create from where you are or what you have.
I feel like this record is kind of a reflection of that, trying to chronicle where are we, where am I, because a lot of these stories, they’re not coming from the other three guys, they’re coming from me, so that’s my one job is to tell stories from my perspective, try to incorporate other characters into that as best I can.”
