Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker was recently interviewed by Rolling Stones’ Brian Hiatt and talked about many things from the current pop-punk revival in the music scene to the current health status of his bandmate Mark Hoppus.

You might remember our recently published articles that Blink-182 singer and bassist Mark Hoppus shared a couple of posts on his official social media accounts last week and announced that he’s undergoing chemotherapy for cancer for the past three months.

In his latest interview with Rolling Stones, Travis was asked the current health status of the bassist and whether he’s able to speak with his bandmate after he announced his condition. According to Travis, he talked with Mark this week and Mark congratulated him on the upcoming release of Blink 182’s new album named ‘NINE’ which will be released on July 7.

Here is what Travis said:

“I just spent the day with Mark a week ago. Yesterday he was like, ‘Dude, congratulations. I’m so happy for you.'”

In the same interview, Blink-182 drummer was asked to comment on the latest album of the band. Travis revealed that the band has already begun to work on something new and fans will be able to listen to the new album of the band in 2022.
