According to a lot of people, Metallica’s best albums are the first 5 albums of the band. But according to Trivium vocalist Matt Heafy, Load and Re-Load are some of the best albums of heavy metal history.

Loudwire interviewed Matt Heafy and the topic mentioned above was discussed in this interview. He said:

“Anybody who was ever a naysayer of those records back then should re-listen to them now.

The tones of those two records and the tone of ‘Garage Inc.’ – those are some of the best recorded metal albums ever, in addition to the ‘Black Album.’ I think those four all sound incredible.”

Load is the sixth studio album by Metallica, released on June 4, 1996. The album sold 680,000 units in its first week, making it the biggest opening week for Metallica as well as the biggest debut of 1996.

Reload released on November 18, 1997 by Elektra Records. The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, selling 436,000 copies in its first week.
