Twisted Sister icon Dee Snider posted a photo with legendary musician Alice Cooper on Instagram taken during his last show in 2019 and shared the details of the ‘surreal’ experience he had.

As you might remember, the iconic heavy metal band Twisted Sister‘s drummer A. J. Pero passed away in his sleep of a heart attack in 2015. Following the tragic loss of their bandmate, the surviving members completed their farewell tour in 2016. During the tour, former drummer of Dream Theater, Mike Portnoy, filled in for Pero on drums.

Later in 2019, Dee Snider joined Alice Cooper on stage during the performance of the iconic song ‘School’s Out‘ at Riverside Open Air Aarburg in Switzerland. The two rock music legends gave an unforgettable experience to the audience that night.

Recently on Instagram, Dee Snider posted his photo with Alice Cooper taken during his last performance in 2019. On the caption of his post, Snider stated how honored he was to share the stage with his ‘hero‘ and added that indeed a childhood dream of his came true that night. Dee mentioned that the climax of the evening was actually when Alice Cooper gave his top hat to the Twisted Sister icon.

Here’s what Dee Snider stated on the caption of his recent post:

“Such an amazing moment in my life. My last show in 2019 and not only did I get to sing ‘Schools Out’ (and part of ‘We’re Not Gonna Take It’) with my hero Alice Cooper, but On top of that at the end of the song he gave me his top hat!

This was literally a childhood dream come true. Surreal.
