The official Instagram account of U2 posted a photo of Belarusian poet Valzhyna Mort and shared the lyrics of the band’s iconic song ‘Miracle Drug‘ to show their support to the demonstrations in Belarus.
As you may know, following the allegations against their longtime leader Alexander Lukashenko regarding falsification of the presidential elections, many people in Belarus joined the largest opposition demonstration in the country’s history.
Recently, the official Instagram account of U2 posted the photo of Belarusian poet Valzhyna Mort and shared a message from the band’s iconic frontman Bono. On the caption of the post, Bono showed his support for the protests in Belarus by adding a part of the lyrics of their song ‘Miracle Drug.’
‘Miracle Drug’ was released within U2’s 2004 album ‘How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb.‘ Bono particularly shared the part of ‘Miracle Drug’ which emphasized the priceless feeling of gaining freedom.

“Dedicated to courage and conviction of the people on the streets of Belarus today. ’Freedom has a scent like the top of a newborn baby’s head.’
