Van Halen’s iconic former icon and current fronting member of Chickenfoot, Sammy Hagar, had a new interview with KSHE 95.0 and exposed what he really thinks about retiring from the music and doing other stuff.

As you may check out the full statements of Sammy below, he clearly indicated that Sammy will not quit the music before he dies. Unless, Sammy feels that he’s not able to play as he did before.

Sammy also explained why he’s not planning any farewell stuff in the future. You can check out his statements below, transcribed by Blabbermouth:

“I haven’t announced my farewell tour retirement yet… I have never announced my retirement and I’ve never made a farewell tour, and I don’t think I ever will. How about that? I just won’t bother with all that. I’ll just keep playing till I drop — or till I’m not good anymore.”

He continued and spread some tragic words about how he will be retired. Here’s what he said:

“If I’m not any good anymore, then I’ll say, ‘Well, I’ve gotta quit,’ and I won’t go do a farewell tour, ’cause I stink — I can’t sing anymore, I can’t play, I can’t jump around, I can’t walk out on stage; you have to wheel me out. So guess what? I’m not doing a farewell tour.”

You can hear the ‘Red Rocker’ talk about his tour’s cancelation, KSHE, and the Cabo shows right below.
