Van Halen’s legendary frontman David Lee Roth had a recent interview with Dash Radio Show’s Scott Lipps and revealed the details of the rivalry between him and Frank Sinatra.

Scott Lipps asked:

“You have this new single, “Jump” out. How did it come about?”

Van Halen’s Roth responded:

“Jump is timeless. “Jump” goes on beyond the genre. It transcends even a style of music much like myself did. You know this man really musically? No. Did you really want to see him live? Of course!

How many were Sinatra records did I buy before he passed away? It was in Vegas, somebody said you want Sinatra as $1.000 ticket.

Oh, you bet! You bet! So I had not bought any Sinatra records. It goes well beyond the music. Becomes an experience, becomes a show.”
