The recently released fan footage of Mötley Crüe lead singer Vince Neil‘s performance of the band’s classics with his solo band stands as a redemption for the vocalist. The criticized rocker proved how much he has been working since the controversial show with his recent performance of ‘Girls Girls Girls,’ ‘Dr. Feelgood,’ and ‘Wildside.’
As you may recall, Vince Neil experienced one of the worst moments in his music career following his performance with his solo band at the Boone Iowa River Vallet Festival. Many fans and critics bashed the singer as he lacked energy both physically and vocally. Things got even worse when the singer walked off stage in the middle of the show, stating that his voice is completely gone which wasn’t surprising as he was barely singing.
After the disastrous show, many people criticized the musician since he was supposed to be getting in shape for the upcoming ‘Stadium Tour,’ and numerous music critics reffed to his performance as ‘career-ending.’
Since then, the Mötley Crüe singer has kept silent but shared a post on his official Instagram page announcing his return to the stage but turned off the comments section. Prior to his show at the Nashville INDYCAR race, Neil proved he has been getting better during a special event. However, it is clear that he still has a long way to go.
A few days ago, Vince Neil performed the Mötley Crüe classics at Indiana State Fair with his solo band, and fans were curious to see fan footage of his performance on YouTube. Fortunately, several videos were posted, and fans were relieved to see this new Neil on stage.
In addition to losing weight, the Mötley Crüe icon has worked on his vocals as he sounded much better than his previous performances. While jumping around and having fun on stage, Neil looked incredibly confident, something his audience missed. Fans praised the musician’s comeback and energy on stage since Neil looked and felt like the rocker he was known to be.
A fan praised the improvement:
“He definitely looks in better shape than the other videos I’ve seen and energized.”
Another fan compared his performance to how it was in the ’80s:
“Vince sounds the same as in the late ’80s. He sounds so great. Not winded at all. The drummer is truly amazing! Loved this!”
Regardless of his fans’ encouraging comments, it would be fair to say that Vince Neil still has a long way to go if he wants to be in enough shape to perform a whole tour including numerous concerts. The improvement is undeniable, but there are still a majority of fans who think Neil isn’t quite there yet. The time and following performances of the rocker will show if he’s able to level his performance up until the 2022 ‘Stadium Tour.’
