Eddie Van Halen’s son and bass guitarist Wolfgang Van Halen revealed the latest update about his solo band Mammoth WVH via his official Twitter account.

As you might remember, Van Halen disbanded after Eddie passed away back in October 2020. Afterward, Wolfgang wanted to pursue his own solo project, named Mammoth WVH, and he decided to release an album in summer 2021 in honor of his father.

Yesterday, Wolfgang revealed the cover art of the self-titled Mammoth WVH album and you can see that there was a tribute to Eddie in one of the pictures alongside great artworks.

Furthermore, Wolfgang pointed out that it feels surreal to hold the finished album and reminded that it will be released a week after. Also, he wished that he could deliver a copy for Eddie because he knew Eddie would be proud.

Here is what Wolfgang Van Halen said:

“It’s surreal holding the finished product in my hand. Been a long time coming. 1 week to go before the full release.

Wish I could’ve handed you this copy myself, Pop. I know you’d be proud.”
