On Twitter, Eddie Van Halen’s son and the current Van Halen bassist Wolfgang answered the fans’ questions regarding his upcoming solo album and revealed that none of the Van Halen icons, Alex Van Halen and David Lee Roth, would take part in his album.
As you may recall, Wolfgang Van Halen, the youngest member of Van Halen, has been working on his solo album for a while now. He has been sharing the details of his upcoming project and answer the fans’ questions often on his social media accounts.
Previously, Wolf revealed that he had been using Van Halen’s legendary ‘5150 Studios’ in California to record his solo album which made the fans curious about any other contributions that would be made by the Van Halen icons, Eddie, Alex, or David Lee Roth.
Recently on Twitter, Wolfgang posted a series of questions he received from the fans concerning his upcoming album and replied to each of them. Apparently, one of the most popular questions was whether his father or the other Van Halen legends like Alex Van Halen and David Lee Roth would take part in his solo album.
As a response, Wolf stated that none of them would be featuring in his highly-anticipated album. He also mentioned this might be upsetting for some Van Halen fans, but his album would be only about Wolfgang and the music he created.
Here’s what Wolfgang Van Halen stated in the recent tweet about his solo album:
“‘Any special guests? Your dad has got to be on there, right?’
Nope. No guests.
‘Really? Not even Al? Dave even?’
No.
‘That’s a big mistake kid, you suck.’
I’m sorry you’re upset, but yeah it’s only gonna be the ol’ Wolfman on this thing.“
