Mammoth WVH’s founder Wolfgang Van Halen was recently interviewed by Indulge this week, and he talked about if he’s working on something new as well as why he decided to play all instruments on the band’s first-ever LP.

Wolf Van Halen’s self-titled debut album with Mammoth WVH will be released on June 11, 2021, and the band released two singles from the album so far. According to the press release, the album will feature 14 songs including ‘You’re To Blame’ which was released last month.

As you may already remember from our recently published articles, Wolf played every single instrument while recording the band’s debut album. In the interview, he was asked what was the reason behind it, and Wolf stated that at first, he wanted to see if he could do it. Later on, after having a fun time in the studio, he decided to do it that way.

Wolf explained if he’s working on something new:

“Kind of, in a way because I had so many ideas that I recorded for the first album that I think there’s so much leftover that if I wanted to throw something together really quick, I could. But I’d wanna put more work into it. It certainly won’t take as long as the first album.”

Here is what he said about playing whole instruments:

“I just figured since I could play everything, I wanted to see if I could do it. Basically, I just wanted to see. And then, since I could… At least I think I could; I guess it’s up to everybody else to decide.

I had such a fun time in the studio that I’m looking forward to getting back in there and doing it again.”
