Eddie Van Halen’s son Wolfgang posted a photo of him and his father on Instagram and said he finds it unbelievable that his father is not here anymore.
Eddie Van Halen was a respected name in the rock music scene. He is mainly known as the lead songwriter and guitarist of Van Halen, which he co-founded in 1972. With Van Halen, he produced twelve successful albums and received several awards. Sadly, Eddie died from cancer on October 6, 2020, and Van Halen left the music scene after his tragic passing.
Heavily inspired by his father, Wolfgang Van Halen started to learn drums, guitar, and bass at a young age. Then, he joined his father’s band as a bassist from 2006 until their disbandment in 2020. Following Eddie’s death, he mainly focused on his solo project Mammoth WVH and recently released his debut album.
As you know, Eddie and Wolfgang shared a special bond. In his recent post, Wolf cherished some memories with his father by sharing some of their pictures and said that he still feels the pain of losing him. He revealed in the caption that he sees his father in his dreams and hugs him until he wakes up. Wolf then said he misses Eddie very much, and his passing does not feel real to him.
Wolfgang Van Halen’s Instagram post read:
“I’ve had so many dreams lately where Pop and I are just doing normal things, and then I realize it’s a dream, stop whatever I’m doing, and hug him for as long as I can until I wake up.
I miss the fuck out of him. I can’t believe he’s not here anymore. Still doesn’t feel real. I’m doing my best, Pop.”
