Wolfgang Van Halen posted a new photo on his Instagram and Twitter accounts and, he seems to have shattered the hearts of thousands with the new letter that he wrote as a caption for his deceased father Eddie Van Halen, who passed away due to throat cancer a month ago.

Ever since his father’s passing, Wolf Van Halen has been posting black and white photos of his father and himself, probably as a way of keeping his father’s memory alive. Even though all of the photos that Wolf posted until now had an empty caption, he broke his silence on his last Instagram and Twitter post, which was a selfie of his father and himself smiling at the camera.

His heartfelt and sorrowful letter reflecting his longing for Eddie broke the hearts of thousands of fans. Wolf stressed how hard it has been without Eddie by saying ‘Not a second goes by where you’re not on my mind.’ He stressed all the things that he has missed doing with Eddie; such as, talking, laughing, listening to music, and making music together.

It seems like he could not find any other words to reflect his sorrow, as he finished his list by saying ‘I just miss everything. I love you so much, Pop.’ However, it was probably the last sentence that hit the readers the hardest, as Wolf finished his letter by saying It’s really hard being here without you.’

The fact that Wolf’s life continues while Eddie, his father, partner, band-mate, and friend has passed away, has clearly made it painful for Wolf to move on without him. Wolf and Eddie’s relationship was very special and they were far beyond just father and son. That is why a message like that, coming from Wolf, hit the readers on so many different levels.

Here is what Wolf Van Halen wrote on his latest Instagram and Twitter posts’ caption:

“1 month. Not a second goes by where you’re not on my mind.

I miss talking with you. I miss laughing with you. I miss listening to music with you. I miss making music with you. I just miss everything.

I love you so much, Pop. It’s really hard being here without you.”
