Former Van Halen bassist Wolfgang Van Halen opened up about how he feels after the loss of her father, Eddie Van Halen, and his close relationship with Eddie during an interview with Howards Stern.

As you may know, Wolfgang announced the devastating news of his father, legendary Van Halen guitarist Eddie Van Halen, who passed away three months ago at the age of 65. While revealing the news, Wolf stated that he will never completely recover from the loss of his father.

For the past three months, Wolfgang Van Halen has avoided opening up fully about the loss of his father, however, fans noticed how broken he was every time he talked about Eddie during an interview or in a social media post.

During The Howard Stern Show, Wolfgang Van Halen finally opened up about losing his father Eddie Van Halen. During the conversation, when Stern pointed out the fact that they had a musical bond in addition to having a close relationship, Wolf revealed that due to the close relationship the two had, he finds it difficult to think about his father every day.

Here is what Howard Stern said during the interview:

“You and your dad had such a close relationship because you had that musical bond. I mean you could speak your father’s language.”

Here is what Wolfgang Van Halen responded:

That’s the gift and the curse of it. You know, we had such a close connection and now for the rest of my life there is no way I’ll never be able to think about him no matter what I do which is good but it also hurts a lot.
