The founder of Mammoth WVH, Wolfgang Van Halen, recently posted a tweet on his Twitter account and recalled the time when he was on the ‘A Different Kind of Truth’ tour with Van Halen and during one of their performances, David Lee Roth stopped singing to tell off some people in the crowd.

As you probably know, Wolfgang’s career as a rock musician started rather early. He started playing drums when he was just nine years old and started performing with Van Halen as the band’s bassist in 2007, at the age of sixteen. He was also a member of Tremonti but upon Eddie’s passing, he decided to pursue a solo career.

However, it seems like Wolf has missed the days when he would perform alongside his father and under the name Van Halen. In his recent tweet, he talked about one of Van Halen’s most epic performances and revealed some fun facts. As you know, ‘A Different Kind of Truth‘ was Van Halen’s concert tour which started in 2012 and went on for a year, and it was organized in support of their 2012 album.

On March 13, 2012, Van Halen were performing at the Verizon Wireless Arena, in Manchester, New Hampshire, and which was packed with fans. While singing ‘Pretty Woman,’ David Lee Roth signaled the band to stop playing as he felt outraged upon seeing that there were people fighting in the front row.

Wolf remembers that Roth felt so angry that he couldn’t continue performing and started yelling ‘STOP THE FU*KING FIGHTING, FU*K YOU‘ to break up the fight. Wolf recalled this event as a positive memory and said that he still finds it funny while cherishing the times that he spent with Van Halen.

This is what the Twitter user said about that night:

“On This Day March 13, 2012, I got a speeding ticket heading down to Manchester NH to see THE MIGHTY Van Halen! It was this show where Dave pausedOh Pretty Woman‘ in the middle to stop a fight in the crowd, was pretty epic! I LOVE VAN HALEN!”

Here’s what Wolf said about that day:

“Lol, I remember this. In the middle of ‘Pretty Woman,’ Dave stopped singing and yelled ‘STOP THE FUCKING FIGHTING, FUCK YOU’ to the Jerry Springer-esque fiasco happening in the first few rows. Good times.”
