Eddie Van Halen‘s son and the current guitarist of Van Halen, Wolfgang responded to a claim David Lee Roth raised about Eddie’s future music career.
According to the news of Loudwire, Van Halen’s iconic frontman David Lee Roth revealed whether the legendary guitarist Eddie Van Halen could go on tour again. Apparently, David had some doubts about Eddie and stated that there was a high possibility for him to not being able to tour ever again.
As mentioned in the article, David Lee Roth said:
“I don’t know that Eddie is ever really going to rally for the rigors of the road again. I don’t even want to say I’ve waited – I’ve supported for five years. Because what I do is physical as well as musical and spiritual – you can’t take five years off from the ring. But I did. And I do not regret a second of it.
He’s a band mate. We had a colleague down. And he’s down now for enough time that I don’t know that he’s going to be coming back out on the road. You want to hear the classics? You’re talking to him.”
Recently on Instagram, Eddie’s son Wolfgang Van Halen responded directly to the article about David’s claims. In the comment section of Loudwire’s post about Eddie, Wolf implied it wasn’t David’s place to talk about the future of his father and Van Halen.
Here’s what Wolfgang Van Halen stated in his comment:
“Yeah, I don’t really think that’s up for him to decide.”
