Yngwie Malmsteen shared his opinion about the guitar brands as well as the hip-hop genre during his birthday live stream via Youtube.

For most people, metal and rap music is kind of the opposite genres in the music industry because of the sound differences. On the other hand, there are lots of people who think that they are actually similar due to the lyrics and beats of the songs.

In the conversation, Malmsteen touched upon the fact that people should express their feelings and thoughts in the way they wanted to and nobody should be against their way.

Furthermore, Malmsteen also mentioned that art is all about expression, and this is why nobody should criticize or downgrade how people want to do it, even if it’s rap or another genre.

When asked about the HipHop genre, Yngwie Malmsteen said:

“I think that everybody should express themselves the way they feel that they should express themselves.

I’m a living example of that where I was often told when I was growing up, ‘You can’t do that, you can’t do that!’

I said, ‘But this is what I want to do, this is what I feel like doing.’ So if you feel like doing that, god bless. That’s what art is all about, art is about expression.

You can’t please everybody, so you have to do what you feel, and if you feel like doing rap, or if you like doing something like that, do it.”
