According to a recent article, The Beatles legend John Lennon‘s wife Yoko Ono confirmed the rumors claiming Lennon had sexual interest in men.

The Beatles late singer John Lennon and Yoko Ono got married on March 20, 1969, and spent their honeymoon doing Bed-Ins For Peace to protest the Vietnam war. A year later, members of The Beatles decided to break up, which resulted in arising the speculations whether Yoko Ono played a role in their decision.

Recently, an article about John Lennon brought up the controversial issue of Lennon’s interest in homosexual relationship. As you might remember, The Beatles members except for John Lennon, went to Santa Cruz for a short getaway back in 1963. Lennon was allegadly with the band’s manager Brian Epstein, who was homosexual, travelling in Barcelona.

Here’s what John Lennon previously stated about the rumors:

“I watched Brian picking up the boys. I like playing a bit faggy, all that. It was enjoyable, but there were big rumours in Liverpool, it was terrible. Very embarrassing.

It was almost a love affair, but not quite. It was never consummated. But it was a pretty intense relationship.”

Furthermore, Yoko Ono claimed that John and Brian didn’t have sex but Epstein was the one who made a move. Yoko also added the reason why John Lennon didn’t want to do it was because he was ‘too inhibited.’

Here’s what Yoko Ono asserted about Lennon’s homosexual relationship:

“The story I was told was a very explicit story, and from that I think they didn’t have sex.

I’m sure Brian Epstein made a move, yeah… Lennon just didn’t want to do it, I think. I think he had a desire to sleep with men, but I think he was too inhibited”.
