Mick Mars’ daughter Stormy Deal has shared an emotional message about her father, suggesting that the two have become distant but that she still hopes they can eventually reunite.
Deal addressed her relationship with the former Mötley Crüe guitarist in a recent Instagram post. While she did not explain what may have caused the apparent distance between them, her message made it clear that she misses her father.
“Shattered By The Words We Left Unspoken, I MISS U AND LOVE YOU MORE!!!” Deal wrote.
Her post prompted supportive responses from friends, including one who expressed hope that Deal and Mars could repair their relationship in the future.
“I really hope and pray one day you can make things right,” the friend commented. Deal responded with optimism, writing: “It will ..one day.”
Another friend offered a similar message, telling Deal: “I hope you’ll reunite with him.” “Me too,” Deal replied.
The brief exchanges suggest that Deal remains hopeful about reconnecting with her father, even though she has not publicly revealed the details behind their apparent fallout. Her reference to “words we left unspoken” also points to unresolved issues between the two.
The emotional message comes after several difficult years for Mars professionally. The guitarist retired from touring with Mötley Crüe in 2022, citing the effects of ankylosing spondylitis, while initially remaining a member of the band. John 5 subsequently took over his touring duties.
Mars’ relationship with his longtime bandmates later deteriorated into a highly public legal dispute. In 2023, he filed a lawsuit against Mötley Crüe, accusing the band of attempting to remove him and withholding information related to the group’s businesses. His former bandmates disputed his claims, leading to a lengthy and increasingly public battle.
The dispute marked a dramatic change for Mars after more than four decades with Mötley Crüe. He had been part of the band since its early days and played on the albums that established the group as one of the biggest names of the 1980s hard-rock scene.
