Former Iron Maiden vocalist Blaze Bayley has revealed that he is adjusting his November schedule to attend the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony and represent the band. Iron Maiden’s current touring lineup will be forced to miss the event due to conflicting tour dates in Australia. Bayley is working to make his presence felt at the prestigious ceremony.

“[Iron Maiden] had a tour booked [during the time that the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction ceremony is scheduled to take place],” Bayley explained. “At the moment, I have some free days [in November]. So I’m trying to work it out that I get there for the ceremony. I don’t know yet.”

The induction represents a significant milestone for the legendary British heavy metal band. Iron Maiden will finally enter the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2026 after being eligible since 2005. The official induction ceremony will take place on November 14 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. A broadcast is expected on Hulu and Disney+ in December. Iron Maiden’s inclusion in this year’s class comes alongside other major artists including Phil Collins, Billy Idol, Oasis, Joy Division/New Order, Sade, Wu-Tang Clan, and Queen Latifah.

The band’s decision to prioritize their Australian tour over the Los Angeles ceremony reflects their long-standing commitment to their fanbase. Iron Maiden will be performing in Sydney and Melbourne during the week of the induction. The touring lineup—featuring Bruce Dickinson, Steve Harris, Dave Murray, Adrian Smith, Janick Gers, and Nicko McBrain—will remain in Australia to fulfill their scheduled commitments. The band has made it clear that fans always come first.

The induction roll-call extends beyond the current touring members to include former band members who shaped Iron Maiden’s legacy. Bayley fronted the band during the mid-1990s on the albums The X Factor and Virtual XI. He was added to the induction list following significant fan criticism over his initial omission. His inclusion alongside the classic lineup, early members Paul Di’Anno and Dennis Stratton, and other former musicians underscores the comprehensive nature of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s recognition of the band’s complete history.

2026 marks Iron Maiden’s 50th anniversary, a milestone the band is celebrating with a massive multi-day festival at Knebworth in July. Bayley will headline the Friday night of the festival on July 10. This gives fans the opportunity to experience the former vocalist’s contributions to the band’s storied catalog. The dual recognition—both the Rock Hall induction and the anniversary celebrations—demonstrates the enduring impact Iron Maiden has had on heavy metal music and its devoted global audience.
