John Corabi, former Mötley Crüe and Dead Daisies vocalist, has announced his future plans following his recent exit from the Dead Daisies. He shared a statement thanking his supporters. Corabi’s announcement comes amid conflicting accounts regarding the circumstances of his departure from the band.

“Hey kids. Just wanted to stop and say ‘THANK YOU’ to all of my ‘friends’ that are/have been supporting yours truly,” Corabi said in his statement. “It’s an exciting time for all of us in the John Corabi & Friends band, and we can’t wait to see you on the road and share a few laughs, songs, and maybe a cocktail together!!!! When one door closes, another door opens,” signaling optimism about the new project.

The circumstances surrounding Corabi’s exit from The Dead Daisies have become increasingly contentious in recent weeks. The band initially announced on July 14, 2024, that Corabi had decided to leave after a three-year tenure that began in May 2023. However, Corabi’s recent statement directly contradicts this narrative. He made clear that his departure was not a mutual decision and that he did not voluntarily quit the band.

Corabi’s frustration stems from what he describes as misleading communication from the band. He was told that The Dead Daisies would be taking a year off while he promoted his solo album “New Day,” which was released in April 2026. The shock came when Corabi discovered that former bassist Glenn Hughes had fronted the band at a show in May 2026. This revelation showed that the band’s claims about taking time off were false. Corabi subsequently clarified that he had been effectively removed from the group rather than choosing to depart.

This marks the second time Corabi has exited The Dead Daisies during his 38-year career in rock music. His first departure occurred in January 2019, when he left to pursue a solo record. He reunited with the band in May 2023. The band released the album “Light ‘Em Up” with Corabi in September 2024, which would prove to be his final studio work with the group. The Dead Daisies have not yet announced a permanent replacement vocalist as they move forward with their plans.

Corabi’s focus now turns to his solo career and the “John Corabi & Friends” project, which he has positioned as an exciting new chapter. The vocalist has maintained a prolific solo career alongside his band work. This latest venture represents his commitment to continuing his musical journey independent of The Dead Daisies. His willingness to speak out about the true nature of his departure underscores the tension that ultimately led to the split.
