Sharon Osbourne has opened up about the first year without her husband, Ozzy Osbourne, describing a life still filled with his presence. Asked how she has been holding up over the past year, she did not offer a simple answer.

“It’s been very, very tough,” she said. “It’s something in life that everyone has to go through, grief, but I’ve had a lot of other things going on — not just grief — but things that have come out about bad advice being handled by people that were not what I thought.”

She said those problems became clearer after Ozzy’s death. “It’s amazing that when somebody passes, you see all the bad things that were going on around that person. I’m in a lot of litigation right now with a lot of businesspeople, and it’s just ugly. Ugly.”

Grief, she added, has not meant distance from her husband. “He ain’t left me for a minute. I go to sleep wearing his T-shirts. I wake up wearing his glasses. I’m surrounded by him always. That’s why there’s nothing to be sad. I was blessed to have him in my life, and nothing is forever. It’ll be my time soon, and it’s the circle. That’s what happens with everyone. It was just my time to lose the love of my life, but you go on.”

She also framed the loss through what Ozzy left behind. “But look at what I had, what I still have. Look at what he left everyone, a great body of work, that f*cking smile of his. I always say you didn’t have to like Ozzy’s music to like Ozzy. You just liked him. Look at the amount of musicians that he has worked with; there’s three guys that never liked him, and that’s a f*cking great record to have. When you think of everybody’s life who he touched as a musician, and only three of them didn’t like him, it’s like, f*cking hell, when I go, there’s going to be fucking thousands. But three guys? I can f*cking live with that.”

Sharon’s comments arrive roughly a year after Ozzy’s death and come with a long public record of mourning, tribute and unresolved business matters that give her words additional context.

The timeline of the past year helps explain the weight of her remarks. Ozzy Osbourne died on July 22, 2025, at the age of 76, after years of significant health problems, including Parkinson’s disease. His death came only weeks after he returned to the stage in his home city for a final farewell performance.

That farewell show, “Back to the Beginning,” took place at Villa Park in Birmingham on July 5, 2025. The event reunited Black Sabbath’s original members and featured performances from artists including Metallica and Guns N’ Roses, and it raised about £140 million for Acorns Children’s Hospice, Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Cure Parkinson’s. The scale of the event turned it into one of the highest-grossing benefit concerts ever staged.
