Alicia Taylor addressed speculation about her husband Corey Taylor’s potential wrestling career on X (formerly Twitter). A fan had asked about the possibility of the Slipknot frontman becoming a wrestler with Alicia as his manager.

“He’s 51. I need him to keep up,” Alicia Taylor responded. “No way he’s becoming a wrestler at this point in time sir.”

The exchange between Alicia Taylor and the fan highlights the intersection of professional wrestling and rock music. These two entertainment worlds have frequently crossed paths throughout their history.

Prioritizing Mental Health

NME reports that in early 2024, Corey Taylor, the frontman of Slipknot, made headlines by canceling his solo North American tour to focus on his mental and physical well-being.

He revealed experiencing a significant breakdown, emphasizing the need to reset and prioritize self-care. Taylor addressed fans’ concerns, stating, “I needed time to start working on my heart and mind and get straight.” He also mentioned maintaining a brief Southeast Asia tour, viewing it as a manageable step during his recovery.

Adjusting Future Touring Plans For Well-Being

In light of his health challenges, Taylor has re-evaluated his approach to touring, via NME. He expressed intentions to limit his time away from home, stating, “I’m only going to work so much. I’ll never be gone from home for more than two-and-a-half weeks.”

This decision underscores his commitment to balancing his career with personal well-being and family life.

Anticipation Builds For New Music

Blabbermouth.com reports that Slipknot introduced Eloy Casagrande as their new drummer in early 2024, following his departure from Sepultura. Taylor expressed enthusiasm about collaborating with Casagrande, noting his natural writing ability and the fresh perspectives he brings to the band.

The group anticipates entering the studio between late 2025 and mid-2026 to work on new material, marking an exciting chapter in Slipknot’s evolution.
