Back on April 30 this year, Slipknot announced the dates for the North American leg of their ‘Here Comes the Pain Tour.’ The tour was announced amid the 25th anniversary of their debut self-titled album.

The band played their first show at Ruoff Music Center in Noblesville, Indiana. The show sold out, and the band played almost every song from the self-titled album and included a few other tracks from different albums. It didn’t turn out well though. Slipknot has received both love and hate for the setlist of their tour.

While the fans split about the tour, most complaints were about ‘playing the same songs,’ the set being too short, and a few more things.

“This show was bullshit you guys only played self titled robbed people out of their money we spent more time waiting than the actual show,” a commenter wrote.

Some also said it was a shorter set than they expected: “Salty it was barely an hour long. and that none of my fav songs got played, but I get it cause of the 25-year anniversary…. But what concert is only an hour long? I drove far to see this, def a let down.”

Others claimed the band has been playing the same setlist for years: “You guys have been playing this setlist for 25 years. I’ve heard all but 3 of these songs live. Do something new.”

Comments didn’t end there. The band’s social media posts were filled with positive comments too. Most of the commenters complained about ‘fake fans’ knowing only three songs.

“If you hate this song list you either only heard Slipknot from TikTok or just don’t know any other song lmao,” a commenter blamed it on the ‘TikTok fanbase.’

“Can people really not comprehend that this is a Self-titled tour….not ‘Iowa,’ not ‘Volume 3’….? We finally get something as sic as this and y’all still complaining,” another added.

So, whether the shows and the setlist might appear controversial, Slipknot sold out most of their shows on the tour. You can see the rest of the dates here.
