Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider voiced strong criticism about KISS’s newly announced Las Vegas reunion show on X (formerly Twitter). The announcement emerged 14 months after KISS completed their farewell tour.
“So I was told today that a KISS reunion in Vegas has been announced. 14 months since their last farewell,” Snider said. “That may be a new record for them.”
“I can’t believe people still put up with their sh*t,” he continued. “To me it’s insulting.”
KISS recently announced a special performance featuring former guitarist Bruce Kulick in Las Vegas to mark the band’s 50th anniversary celebration.
Snider’s criticism draws attention to KISS’s pattern of farewell performances and subsequent stage returns. This history raises questions about the finality of such announcements.
Previous Farewell Tours

Documentation from KISS FAQ revealed the band’s first major farewell tour ran from 2000 to 2001.
The band resumed performing and touring after this supposedly final tour. This established a precedent for their current situation.
Bruce Kulick’s Legacy

Bruce Kulick will take the stage at the upcoming Las Vegas show. He served as KISS’s lead guitarist from 1984 to 1996.
His 12-year tenure with the band produced several significant albums. Kulick’s guitar work shaped iconic releases including ‘Asylum,’ ‘Crazy Nights,’ and ‘Revenge’ during the band’s unmasked era.
Recent Farewell Tour Success

Metal Injection documented the substantial commercial success of KISS’s most recent farewell tour. The tour attracted large crowds and generated significant revenue.
The Las Vegas show announcement features Kulick as part of the band’s 50th anniversary celebrations. This development stands in contrast to the finality implied by their previous farewell tour.
