Erik Grönwall recently discussed his future career plans during a live stream on his YouTube channel after his departure from Skid Row.

“Thank you once again. ‘Why not do Hardcore Superstar?'” the former Skid Row singer shared a fan’s question. “That could work. I like Hardcore Superstar and I actually co-wrote a song with them just recently.”

He further elaborated on his upcoming projects, saying, “I’m actually writing music to release something on my own, something I’ve been thinking about for a long time. I’ve always been in established bands. I did ‘Idol’ and then, I joined H.E.A.T and they had an established sound.”

“And then, I did that for 10 years although we wrote songs together obviously and developed a sound but it was already an established sound. And then, I did New Horizon which was Jona’s thing, and then Skid Row is definitely an established band. So, I feel like I haven’t really done my own thing. So I’m working on it and writing music,” the rocker stated.

Grönwall revisited the topic of his solo career in another livestream earlier this month. He shared, “Okay, let’s start with the bad news. The company that I did the first vinyl with, they went bankrupt and then I found another company and I paid them and everything.”

“Then, they went bankrupt and took my money with it and then I was like feeling a bit defeated. And then, a friend of mine, the distributor that I’m working with, he was like, ‘I have a connection. I can hook you up,'” Erik noted.

He added, “So, he did and he saved the day. So we will have vinyl ‘Eriksplanations Volume 2’ coming in January. Members, you will have early access as usual.”

In 2025, Erik will join Michael Schenker for the spring European tour. Schenker is promoting his new album, ‘My Years With UFO.’ Grönwall will be featured on the song ‘Mother Mary,’ which also includes Slash from Guns N’ Roses.
